Hospice of San Juan

Hospice is a special team concept of care designed to provide comfort and support to patients and their families when a life-limiting illness no longer responds to cure-oriented treatments.

Hospice of San Juan was founded in 1984, receiving non-profit status in 1985 and Federal 501(c) status in 1993. This charitable corporation was established to improve the quality of life for the terminally ill by providing guidance and support to dying persons and their families. The corporation is entirely run by volunteers, and all services are free of charge. Our trained volunteers become part of a team working with dying persons, their families, primary caregivers, physicians and home health nurses.

Hospice of San Juan honors the end of life by offering support to people with chronic, debilitating or terminal illness so that they may remain at home and live with comfort and dignity.
